Hello! My name is Nathan Green, and I’m currently learning about ableism, More specifically how it shows up in schools.
Ableism is a form of discrimination against people with disabilities. In schools, it can happen in many ways — like inaccessible classrooms, teaching materials that aren’t designed for everyone, or negative attitudes from teachers and other students. These things can make it harder for students with disabilities to feel welcome and succeed in school.
My goal is to help bring more awareness to how ableism affects students with disabilities. Not just in the classroom, but also in their confidence and relationships. I also want to explore ways that schools can become more inclusive and supportive for everyone.
In the end, I hope this project helps start important conversations and encourages actions that make schools better for all students, no matter their abilities.
